This is a list of events that we have held in recent weeks to give a flavour of the types of activities that DASH participates in.

If you have a child with type 1 diabetes, want to join us and have ideas for events, then do please let us know.

2010 Champion Fundraiser ...

One of our Executive members, Hayley Clancy ran the London Marathon in April for JDRF to help find a cure for Diabetes.

Once again we funded an afternoon of fun for members skating around Roller City.

From 5:30pm to 7:30pm

A good social session with music, food, arts and crafts and video games for the older children.

This will be a great chance to catch up after the summer holidays and to present the calendar of DASH events over the autumn and winter. It also give our new members a chance to meet the group and share experiences and air any issues.

12th September 2010 Fund Raiser JDRF Regents Park (map) 11:00 - 2:00pm

The walk switched from Trent Park to Greenwich Park in 2005.  This year, the walk is switching from Greenwich Park to Regents Park benefitting those of us more to the West of London.

Three DASH Families took part on the day, and Joshua Richardson did particularly well in the run!  To see the running results, click here and select "2010 JDRF Regent's Park".

20th May 2010 AGM General Meeting on topic of Food & Diabetes with Guest Speaker Suzanne Lucas

Suzanne is an experienced presenter, facilitator, Chair and project manager. She has expertise in strategic thinking and development and a vast knowledge of the diabetes community and market place.

18th March 2010 One-off  Charity Performance Opening Night organized by one of our families' children, Sophie Washington to assist her fund-raising efforts towards continuous monitoring equipment for QEII.
